We were recently contacted by a customer whose first choice of beacon from a competitor wasn’t available for the foreseeable. The client needed the beacons on-site for install on Friday.
Our alternative was slightly more expensive – but as this shows, it’s not ALWAYS about price. What won us the sale was our flexibility, our supply chain, and our collective “pulling together to win this business”.
We promised to have the full set of beacons to our client by Friday morning absolute latest.
This involved personally collecting some parts from one of our suppliers, juggling production orders, and “all hands to the pump!”

We are packing the items off now ready for collection by our customer at lunch-time today, a full day ahead of schedule. 👌
We hear platitudes a lot in our lives – particularly when things are stressful. Well-meaning friends or associates say “Ring me if you need me”. What counts is that when you put in a phone call to D. G. Controls Ltd, we really DO mean it.
And as our supplier said yesterday, “If ever we CAN help you, we will”.
